Immediate opening for a Technical Translator (English-Russian) in our Engineering Department.Our team is a part of large-scale project for construction of complex technical facility in Russia, performed by a consortium of international companies.
Technical Translator works within a team of translators, editors and engineers, translating FEED and EPC documentation, such as equipment datasheets, calculation notes, specifications for equipment and structures, etc. As a team member, utilizes company’s internal vocabularies, ensuring consistency and correct format of completed documents. S/he is a strong user of PC and Microsoft Office, being able to work in shared/cloud data environment, and is capable of handling complex file structure and document numbering conventions. S/he successfully follows the document origination – delivery chain, cooperating with both internal and external data sources over e-mail and FTP.
Requirements:
• At least Bachelor’s degree in English Linguistics or English language Translation;
• At least 4 – 6 years of experience in translation with a strong emphasis on written translation of design documents;
• Knowledge and experience with technical vocabulary in Oil & Gas Processing Industry and Construction;
• Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office) are a must;
• Ability to strictly follow internal vocabulary, document formatting and language requirements;
• The candidate should consider the availability to work from 15:00 to 23:00, if possible;
• The candidate should be ready to take a qualification test, if required.
