LinkedIn is looking for a Russian Linguist/Translator to join the localization team. The ideal candidate has English to Russian translation experience (preferably within website localization), is a native Russian speaker, is able to customize content for the target market and has a passion for language. You will work closely with external vendors and our QA team on-site in Mountain View. You will be responsible for the overall quality of the localized website and other assets for our Russian speaking audience. You will actively translate and review as well as contribute to terminology and style discussions, bug fixing and other localization related work.

Responsibilities:

Ownership of linguistic quality
Translate and edit using CAT tools
Create and maintain glossaries, style guides and TMs
Perform linguistic QA and open/resolve linguistic bugs as necessary
Represent linguistic and cultural nuances in cross-functional meetings
Work with external vendors

Required Experience/Skills:

Native level fluency in Russian
Minimum 3 years of experience as a translator, preferably in software localization
Excellent understanding of localization and linguistic issues
Experience using CAT tools, especially SDL WorldServer and Trados

Preferred Experience/Skills:

B.A. in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or similar
Self-motivated, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of social media platforms and terminology
